Top 10 Most Annoying Songs Of The 1970s

I was a small child back in the 1970s, and some of my most vivid memories of music from that time are songs I heard on AM radio in the car as we drove around town. Today, I have a negative reaction to many of these songs whenever I hear them. I think this may be due to my proclivity to car sickness as a child.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not defending these songs by any stretch, but these recordings must be more than just "bad", considering they induce vomiting quicker then a shot of ipecac syrup.

I think the foulness found in this playlist should be studied. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the pop music of the 1970s had this overwrought, sappy quality that has not been reproduced since. It may be the lack of electronic elements so prevalent in the bad music that came after it. Indeed, this playlist is proof that horrible music can be found in any decade.

Please note: "Disco Duck" would have been high on my list, but it was not available on Spotify due to international hate crime treaties.
